What does Chai mean?

Chai is written with two Hebrew letters, ח and י. Their numerical value is 18, a number associated with life in Jewish tradition. Wearing it on your tallit keeps this symbol with you in prayer, on Shabbat, at a Bar Mitzvah or at a wedding.

How do I build my tallit?
  1. Choose the color.
  2. Keep the Chai embroidery on the back, or choose another symbol.
  3. Select the size: 55, 60 or 70.
  4. Choose white or tekhelet tzitzit.
  5. To add a name, tick the personalization option on the product page (+ ₪80), then enter the name to embroider, its position (back, front corner or both) and its color.
Chai, Hai or Haï: what is the difference?

There is none: these are different ways of writing the same Hebrew word, חי, in Latin letters.

What size should I choose?

Size 55 suits a Bar Mitzvah teenager, size 60 an adult from 1.65 m to 1.80 m, and size 70 an adult over 1.80 m.

Can I see the tallit before buying?

Yes, in our stores in Netanya and Tel Aviv.
